A clear account of how a Bengali-first content strategy, subject-led learning and consistent publishing helped a government-exam preparation brand build visibility and a larger owned audience.
Grassroot retained strong visibility, improved Facebook interaction and nearly doubled its Instagram follower base—while the data also showed exactly where the next content shift was needed.
Grassroot Education is a Bengali-first education brand supporting government-exam aspirants in Bengal, including learners preparing for WBCS, SSC and Railway examinations.
Its promise— “আশ্বাস নয় বিশ্বাস যোগায়”— places trust at the centre of the brand.
For this audience, trust is built through useful teaching, approachable faculty, structured guidance and consistent proof that the platform understands the learner's real preparation challenges.
Social media therefore had to do more than announce classes. It needed to help students learn, participate and remember Grassroot when they were ready to enquire or enrol.
Grassroot already had audience visibility, but visibility alone was not solving every business problem. The brand needed a clearer path from content consumption to trust, enquiry and admission intent.
Low enquiry quality and limited admission intent from parts of the existing audience.
Weak counselling conversion after the initial enquiry stage.
Inconsistent branding across content, making recall harder to build.
Limited student proof, testimonials and authentic classroom material.
A content mix that sometimes leaned more towards promotion than practical value.
A weak lead-nurturing journey between social engagement, follow-up and enrolment.
Strong month-level visibility, but softer reach and interaction on Instagram compared with the previous reporting period.
Make Grassroot useful before asking the audience to buy—then use stronger brand consistency, faculty presence and proof-led content to support admission-focused communication.
The content strategy focused on useful education, faculty authority, participation, consistency and platform-specific data.
The content direction moved towards practical exam preparation: subject explanations, MCQs, reasoning, English, Psychology, Anthropology and relevant recruitment updates. These formats gave students a reason to stop, learn, save or respond instead of simply scrolling past another course promotion.
Faculty-led learning made the brand feel more credible and human. Rather than presenting Grassroot only as an institution, the content allowed learners to experience the teaching style and knowledge behind the platform. Simple explanations performed consistently because they reduced complexity without talking down to the audience.
Interactive MCQ-style posts—such as “Test yourself before the exam”—were designed to turn passive viewers into participants. This supported both learning and brand recall, especially for students who were not yet ready to enquire.
The publishing approach balanced education, proof, trust and timely information. An alternate-date rhythm and distinct roles for Reels, carousels and static posts created a more organised way to serve discovery, saves and recall.
July's numbers were not treated as a simple success-or-failure score. Facebook showed healthier interaction despite lower reach. Instagram added followers but lost month-on-month visibility and engagement. Those differences became the basis for a more Reel-led, platform-aware plan rather than repeating the same mix everywhere.
During July, 48 content pieces were delivered across Facebook and Instagram. The strongest work combined practical education, recognisable subjects, faculty presence and timely exam relevance.
Anthropology, Reasoning, Psychology and SSC English gave learners immediately useful preparation content.
Demonstrated teaching quality and helped the institution feel approachable and credible.
Encouraged participation, self-testing, recall and repeat engagement.
Added topical relevance and connected the page with current aspirant needs.
It showed what to do next.
Grassroot continued to reach a large audience, but views declined compared with the previous period. Instead of hiding that slowdown, we used it to identify a practical growth opportunity. The revised direction focused on more discoverable short-form video, stronger opening seconds and recurring versions of subjects that had already earned attention.
Facebook generated 279.6K views and reached 121.4K viewers. Most importantly, interactions increased by 31.3%, showing that the content encouraged a more active and engaged audience.
Instagram recorded 95.1K views and 354 interactions, while the follower base grew from 68 to 124—an impressive 82.4% increase. This highlights the content’s ability to attract and build a growing community.
Limited student reviews, behind-the-scenes footage and classroom moments made it harder to show the lived Grassroot experience. We created a clear input list for student feedback, class bloopers, funny live comments, course launches, new class updates and exam alerts. These materials were identified as essential inputs for stronger proof-led storytelling— not presented as completed assets where they were not yet available.
To make faculty videos easier to watch and reuse, we established simple recording discipline: a stable camera, a vertical 9:16 frame, faster openings and concise edits. This allowed the message and teacher presence to stay clear while improving fit for Reels.
Grassroot Education's 3 Month performance shows
why education marketing must balance visibility
with usefulness.
The content reached large audiences, but the
most valuable signals came from improved
Facebook interaction, rapid Instagram follower
growth and the clear performance of practical,
subject-led learning.
By moving the page towards Bengali-first
education, faculty proof, interactive formats
and stronger content consistency, Digitals Journey
helped Grassroot build a more credible digital
presence.
Just as importantly, the reporting identified
what needed to change next: more discoverable
Reels, stronger authentic proof and a clearer
journey from engagement to admission intent.
Digitals Journey combines content strategy, social media management and performance-led reporting to help education businesses build trust, grow their audience and create a clearer path towards enquiries and admissions.
